This course is a fast-paced introduction to modern and contemporary U.S. poetry, from Dickinson and Whitman to the present. Participants (who need no prior experience with poetry) will learn how to read poems that are supposedly “difficult.”
Dear FIX,
Here are some new additions to our site.
1) We now have a transcript available of the recent audio update recorded by me and Julia, and it's here. This is also linked to our "archive of audio updates." (Thanks again to Andrea for making these transcripts!)
2) The video recording of the recent live webcast session is available here. You can also go directly to our ModPo YouTube channel.
3) The audio-only (downloadable mp3) recording of the recent webcast is also available here.
4) ModPo people are writing reviews of the course here. Add your own review if you like.
5) As requested by ModPo'ers, Kelly Writers House mugs continue to be available here.
6) In case you missed it: the recent audio update - a discussion of chapter 8 - is here.
I will write again soon with some announcements about our upcoming move from week 7 to week 8, from chapter 8 to chapter 9.1 - from writing and submitting essay #3 to our peer reviews of those essays.
Meantime, best wishes from the ever-"happening" Kelly Writers House,
- Al
