Valle del Cauca Angelino Garzón

El ex embajador y ex gobernador del departamento de Valle del Cauca Angelino Garzón confirmó este miércoles que será el compañero de fórmula del ex ministro de Defensa Juan Manuel Santos, candidato presidencial por el gobernante Partido de La U, y se comprometió a trabajar en defensa de los Derechos Humanos en Colombia.
Garzón, que se define como una persona "independiente", ha agradecido a Santos que le haya tenido en cuenta para formar parte de su Gobierno en el caso de que logre ganar los comicios presidenciales del próximo 30 de mayo en los que se elegirá al sustituto del actual mandatario, Álvaro Uribe.
Asimismo, dijo en declaraciones a la emisora local Caracol Radio que tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar con Santos "en temas muy importantes de paz antes de ser ministros, hicimos juntos varios asuntos de política laboral".
Después, cuando Santos ya era ministro del Gobierno de Uribe y Garzón gobernador, ambos "contribuimos de manera importante a la lucha contra el delito en el Valle del Cauca", indicó Garzón al destacar que también trabajará para mejorar las relaciones entre los empleados y los patronos.

Enfoquen sus lentes hacia el medio ambiente

Mas de 40 millones de pesos recibirán los mejores productores de video de Colombia.Con una convocatoria nacional, la CVC dará espacio hasta el 5 de mayo, para que los productores de video en Colombia enfoquen sus lentes hacia el medio ambiente, la gente y los recursos naturales.La nueva apuesta en la producción de video invita a los profesionales, diseñadores gráficos y aficionados, a participar en la segunda convocatoria del Festival de Video Ambiental, que tendrá en salas de exhibición cultural y comercial los videos postulados durante junio de 2010 en diferentes ciudades.Tres categorías permiten la participación de productores de todo el país, la profesional, la aficionado y la animación; mientras que la cuarta categoría se dedica exclusivamente a las instituciones educativas del Valle del Cauca y una mención especial para el video que mejor tratamiento y dedicación ofrezca al tema del cambio climático.Noventa y cuatro filmes se disputaron los premios en la primera versión, de éste Festival que ha sido concebido por Instituciones como la Corporación Autónoma Regional del Valle del Cauca y el Ministerio de Ambiente Vivienda y Desarrollo Territorial de Colombia, y que pretenden propiciar la reflexión, desde una perspectiva ambiental a través de imágenes y medios audiovisuales.El Festival de Video Ambiental consciente que los medios audiovisuales se constituyen en generadores de reflexión y de cambio, proponen adelantar procesos ambientales de formación que nos ayuden a encontrar soluciones con las comunidades, para aprovechar y disfrutar de manera racional los recursos naturales de Colombia y reconocer su belleza, importancia y potencial de goce por muchos años.
